I Wish I Knew

Living in time and feeling every moment
Do I walk into tomorrow and never look behind
In a perfect world
Everyone's dreams would all come true
How will it all unfold
I wish I knew

Look at all the ways the mystery unravels
Try to find a pattern--is there one to find
Though the sky is stormy
I see reflections of gold and blue
Will the true story ever be told
I wish I knew

As I try to learn the answer
And I stumble along the way
I am powered by the love in my heart
By the thoughts in my mind
By the dreams I dream each day

It isn't always easy
But I gotta believe I'll make it through
What will the future hold
I wonder what will the future hold
How will it all unfold
I wish I knew

Hi, Kahuna!

I have been trying for years to get a recording of, the sheet music for, or someone who remembers, HOW the full version of "I Wish I Knew" is sung. What I need in order to finalize my singable Hebrew translation are the following:

-- Does the second verse, "Look at..." through "I wish I knew", follow the same melody pattern as the first verse?

-- If so, how on earth is "Will the true story ever be told?" supposed to fit in the same number of beats as "How will it all unfold?"?!

-- To what part of the tune is "It isn't always easy / But I gotta believe I'll make it through" to be sung?

Thank you in advance for any help you can render or point the way to.
